ISS Update: SpaceX Dragon

On May 7, 2012, SpaceX will be launching the fully loaded Dragon space capsule to the International Space Station. If all goes well with this supply run, SpaceX could become a NASA contractor, the first private company to bring materials ... and later astronauts ... to space. SpaceX has big plans for this capsule. They have already begun fitting a second version of the Dragon with everything necessary to fly a crew. The cabin can seat seven, just like the Space Shuttles did. However, with the capsule at the top of the stack rather than on the side, it will be a safer ride. Good luck with the flight guys.

This video, while not compelling viewing from a picture standpoint, gives you a hint at how complex a rocket launch really is. Nice to know they're not rushing things and are making sure they are as ready as they can be.
